HEER LIN COMPRESSED IN A SITE

ARAS was a short but fulfilling experience for me. I was invited by my friend from YAC to help him write a short article for ARAS (Academy of Relationship & Sex). While definitely a huge step out of my comfort zone (due to the nature of the topics being discussed), in the spirit of exploring new things, I gladly took on the opportunity to grow and learn.

Approaching a topic in which I have absolutely no experience (I wrote an article about cheating in a relationship) was one of the biggest difficulties in the entire writing process. However, with guidance and multiple edits, I learnt to pitch the key ideas in a palatable way to the audience and write concisely to catch the attention of readers.

Though a short experience, I found the skills I had learnt then transferable. A key part of writing is ensuring effective communication - that I get the ideas across in a short and efficient manner.
