HEER from others!

I've met so many amazing people throughout my 18 years on this Earth, and they've never failed to inspire me with their passion for life and the people around them.

​

It's a great honor to have been able to be a part of their journey, and I'm deeply grateful that they have appeared in mine. Read on to find out what some of them have to say about me!

Having known Heer Lin for over 6 years, I can confidently say that she is one of the most responsible and capable individuals I know. Not only is she a critical thinker and capable of engaging with challenging problems in a creative manner, she is also extremely meticulous and hardworking, always making it a point to note down deadlines of work and plan tasks ahead of time, allowing her to give her 100% in everything she does (till this day, I am still constantly amazed by her incredible time management skills). Furthermore, she can also be both an extremely engaged team member, as well as a reliable and visionary leader. You can always count on her to proactively participate in activities and optimise a teams efficiency, while also having lots of fun (she can be humorous too!). Last, but certainly not least, she is also genuine and kind, never failing to provide support and care for others in need and always responding in a sensitive and compassionate manner.

I worked with Heer Lin in BOM from 2019 to 2020. She is someone who does an extremely commendable job when asked to take charge in something, and in the midst of organising everything, she always adds in an element of fun. I alos liked that she gave specific jobs to everyone involved so everyone could contribute in their own ways.

Full of energy, incredibly competent and a naturally a leader.

 

Those were my impression of Heer Lin when I got to know her while working on a project, FamiliarVoice, in the Youth Action Challenge. It was a 4-month project which ended with a final pitch to a panel of judges which Heer Lin delivered confidently. We eventually received funds to execute our idea for FamiliarVoice for the next 1 year.

 

I invited her to join me on various projects in Academy of Relationship & Sex (ARAS), a company which I co-founded. Despite the unfamiliarity in the work we do in ARAS initially, Heer Lin demonstrated determination and initiative to acquire the knowledge to fulfill her task.

 

It has been a pleasure working with Heer Lin and no doubt we will collaborate more soon.

Heer Lin is a very kind person. She has been volunteering since 2019 at Touch Young Arrows even until present. She has always been very patient towards the children and serve with her heart. Apart from that, she is a caring friend that always offers to help whenever we need it.

Heer Lin is one of the most efficient and capable  friends i ever worked with - she’s speedy, passionate and always gets things right. She takes the initiative to take strong leadership in these areas. Moreover, she’s a compassionate individual who puts her best foot forward in serving the community and those around her. I must say it’s been a joy and eye-opening for me and many others to work alongside her and see our efforts bear fruit!

I played in the orchestra with Heer Lin in HCCO and even though we only spent half a year together, I still managed to get closer to her. She is really approachable and good-natured which makes it really easy to open up to her. She is also very dedicated and passionate when it comes to the things she is interested in, and would not hesitate to help her peers when we are struggling during cca sessions. Really glad to have her join HCCO!!!
